1st Blog: Leaders that Make a Difference

Leadership is a subject that is debated by many. Everyone thinks they know the secret to becoming a great leader. But in reality, very few actually know and/or practice that secret whatever it may be.

Leadership can be defined as many things, but I believe it is simply "influence." A leader is someone who has great influence over others. That influence can be positive or negative. Let's focus on the positive. How can you as a leader, use your influence to make a difference? You can do this by simply serving.

Serving is not as common as it should be. Wherever you find a leader who is serving, you will also find low turnover, greater creativity, a happier working atmosphere, stronger unity, and higher profits. If you are leader who serves, you must ask yourself this question: "Am I a serving-leader or a self-serving leader?" If you are a serving leader then you will make a difference!

This blog will profile serving-leaders who are making a difference. Sometimes they will be national leaders and other times Central Texas leaders. Either way, there will be an opportunity to learn from the best.
